Welcome to London, United Kingdom

London, UK

The D.Root-Server, located in London, England, was re-deployed in November 2006 and provides resolution for the whole Inclusive Name Space. The Server has been provided services offered through Entrust. Their generous contribution to the Public-Root Foundation has made this service possible. The D.Root-Server guarantees the performance and stability of Internet services in the UK and western Europe.

London is an excellent location for a Public-Root Server. This server will provide extra resiliency and redundancy in
resolution to Europe. If the British Isles loose connectivity to the mainland the DNS will continue to resolve through
D.Root-Server. This server will also reduce DNS response time for a most of the UK.

Jon Morby, the Root-Operator of the D.Root-Server said:
"We are pleased to be able to help with the next step in the evolution of the Internet."
