The H.Root-Server,
located in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, was redeployed in Februari 2008
and provides resolution for the whole Inclusive Name Space even
in case of a regional disaster.
The
H.Root-Server is hosted in a Continuance Of Government bunker,
buried 5 stories underground; the datafloor is protected from
all possible threats both man made and natural. The facility
has the ability to generate power for up to a week off stored
fuel and with direct fiber connections to the SONNET ring throughout
Iowa's major telecoms and governmental network
it is designed to continue throughout all possible events without
disrupting operations and connectivity to its clients. Infobunker
is proud to commit its resources for the furtherance of Public-Root
and its cause.
