The L.Root-Server, located in Ankara, Turkey was deployed in February
2005 and provides resolution for the whole Inclusive Name Space. The L.Root-Server guarantees the performance and stability of
Internet services in the Balkan and Eastern Europe.
Ankara is an ideal location for a Public-Root Server. This server
will provide extra resiliency in resolution to Eastern Europe
in the event of a loss of physical connectivity to the rest of
the Internet. L.Root-Server will also reduce DNS response
time for a large part of Europe and the Balkan.
